Why are radials illegal, do they give a big
advantage or are they unsafe to pull WHAT IS

They sure seem to pull better than the bias. Everywhere I have seen them they were a REAl advantage. Tractor pulled as if it had an extra 1000 lbs on it. Sounds fair right? Kinda like pullin modified in the stock class.

The NATPA mafia and others have made them illegal for some reason, most likely they were beat by someone who had them. Down here in Mississippi we say you can pull either bias or radial, hook it up and give it your best shot, that way you don't have to worry about some pinhead throwing a childish trantrum for some stupid reason.

Raial tires give a lot biffer foot print than a byas ply tire of the same size.

and I've never seen a set that had any advantage over a bias set. everyone talks them up but everyone around here who has tried them took them off and put their bias back on.

Not sure how they work in pulling but for farming they are unbeatable. Less slip and save more fuel.

They work just as good as anything else on a good track and they kick everyone's butt on a bad track. I think they get outlawed because like with a lot of things in pulling ounce someone starts winning with somthing different they just outlaw it instead of buying a set themselves.
