I would like to build a G with 9 3/8 stroke 7 1/2 bore. The rules say I must have a carburetor with the same number of barrels as is stock.I need to know if a DLTX 51 carburetor can be modified to feed this size engine.I would also like information on what head works best with this type of setup. Is a Jerry`s head worth the money or just a cyclone head with the intake side welded up and bigger valves installed good enough ? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

I pull a JD70 745ci 110to115hp. I have built several Gs all of wich had Jerrys heads and manifold on them.In my opinion u cant buy a better head for a G than one of those.Im not sure why the 800 inches? The amount of hp you will gain over one at 735 or even 750 would be very small. Not to mention the pain in the butt of trying to make it fit.Maybe its the bragging rights syndrome striking again.Wether your pulling a G or a 70 anything over 100hp is real good .It will take a nice size moline or farmall to beat it in the heavy classes (7500 8500 9500#).As for your carb make it as big as u can and yes the 51 carb will work just fine.Air wont be a problem but getting thefuel might be so drill out that little needle and seat as big as u can and u should be alright.

GUESS WHAT THEY ARE HOLDING UP WELL AND PULLING THE SOCKS OFF THESE GUYS AROUND HERE. DONT GET ME WRONG IT CAN BE BEAT ON ANY GIVEN DAY AT THE PULL BUT I CAN PULL WITH THE BEST OF THEM AND NOT RUN OUT OF POWER WEIGHTED UP TO 10500. JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH AS I STATED BEFORE I BEGAN!!!!!
