ChadS or anyone know the best way to change cam timing on a H? Can the cam gear be advanced or retarded a tooth without harming the valves? I'm running a gas 300 head and block with 3 5/8" sleeve kit. Thanks guys.

It would not do any good to change the cam timing at all on a small cu in engine. I have tried it on the bigger engines, but it is easier to have a cam ground these days. I would suggest finding a Super H through 350 cam. It would match your engine combo better. On my Super H farmstock, I had a bad problem in 1st gear tring to make it lay down and pull. I changed the carb venturi, went a little bigger, and flatened the tourque curve out. Look more at the carb and see if that does help the way the engine runs. By changing my carb, it works the engine just right for our clubs sled. Hope this helps ChadS
