Hi, First off, I want to apologize, for what I said to UB puller. You will see what I mean when you read the posts. He obviosly does not like me, and likes bashing me any chance he gets. I can take constructive criticism from anyone, as long as they are polite. I do not like it when someone disrespects others. My parents, Earl and Mary Jo have done a wonderful job raising 4 kids, and have taught us how to treat people with respect, and curtacy that good people deserve. I am 28 years old, now, I have been pulling tractors for 15 years, 15 years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears. I have enjoyed every moment! I am married, no children, and alot of free time on my hands, so I log on here at YT to talk tractors and pulling. Tractor pulling is my passion, it is in my blood. Red like Farmalls. I know that technology is a frightening topic when it comes to pulling tractors. There is always something new to buy, and people who sell items for pullers. Alot of useless technology out there too. I am not like other people and don't care what they sell, I do care! I am a machinist, I use the very same products on my tractors that I offer for sale. I personally tested them. The parts work.

Anyway, Back to what I was saying, Respect is earned, not given. I respect, and admire any puller who is tring to succeed in winning a pull. Its alot of work!!! I also will help ANYONE who asks me. When someone comes on and talks to, or about me and bash me the way he did makes me sick. There is no reason to personally attack another person that way. I got angry, I said some things that were not nice, I don't want people to have to read that on their favorite web site! I felt like I had to let him know what I think, openly, and honestly. No body has to listen to me on how to tune their tractors, most already do know and are making sure they have not left anything out. If you think for 1 second that I am tring to snowball,BS, or flat out lie about how to build powerhouses you are terribly mistaken! Why would I stick my neck out if I did not feel like I knew what I was saying? Ladies,and gentlemen of antique tractor pulling: you all are wonderful people, but if the information I have provided in the past, is not right, I want to know! Don't bash me, tell me! I don't know everything, I would love to learn more! We as pullers learn from our mistakes, I have worked my a$$ off to make my tractors what they are. I have made alot of mistakes, lost points championships, went out of bounds, ETC ETC>> I have learned alot from you all over 15 years, and I hope I am around for the next 15 years to see antique pulling grow and prosper, not die. So please, I ask you all, lets behave, and be courtious to others on and off the track, and here at YT.

Thank you,

ChadS

Hey ChadS, do you have a white dodge? Couldn't get off as early as I wanted to to make it down to Gosh. But I thought I saw a white Ram with what looked like 2 H's on the trailer. I learned a little bit by looking, and a guy gave me a copy of the rules for northern Indiana..I am going to do and H for sure, probably my super. Now I just have to get everything gathered up to see what I have...I will need advice in the future....Thanks for direction me towards that pull. Even though I didn't see all of it, I saw that I certainly wanted to try it. Are you going to South Bend wednesday?.....AC

Oh ok, thanks, BUDD. I really appreciated it. A guy called me about a tractor I had for sale, and that he was going to be there in the morning. By the time I got off the phone, I thought I should better start looking for my buddy so I had a ride home! I am going to go to South Bend, so that should be a good experience. Once again thanks, amd I'll talk to you in the future. AC

A SH is a good choice. Do you know what classes this H would pull? Modified, or stock? You could build a 70+hp H engine, using all IH parts and probably get it done for less that $4500.00 including a stroker crank rods and pistons, and cam! I would be more than happy to help! Thanks ChadS

I only had the opertunity to watch about 20 minutes of pulling in the morning. Although I have pulled very little and don't profess to be anything but a rank amateur I do enjoy reading this board. Chad, since Syracuse and Akron aren't far apart I expect that to happen somewhere. good luck pulling.

No, I haven't pulled for a long tme. I was judging the 4-H saddle club trail show on thursday. only watched the tractors for about 20 minutes before the show started at 9 am. The only pulling I have done in over 5 years was when I hooked for the fun pulls at the National Threshers Reunion at Wauseon, Ohio. It was fun to see how the old 1938 Oliver 70 would do.

Yep, 43 hooks in those opening classes, All farm stock! Our sled could not stop them! Do you still pull? FYI: we have a pull just south of you in North Webster every year during Mermaid Festival. We have already pulled there this year, but there is alot more pulls that are close to you. I think that we had 210 hooks at Goshen. Double that number if we would have run our regular schedule! Good Luck! ChadS

Not too bad at all! I got 1 first, and 2second place finishes. I wanted to thank you for the hard work you did for the club on thursday. Did you get enough exercise? What happened to you at Goshen, why didn't you pull your A?

Chad;

Thanks, but it was not hard work. I kinda got real upset at the wieght classes the way they were set up (or lack of). I am pulling my for the fun that I have. When I got mad it took the fun out of it so I decided to just load it back on the trailer and injoy the pull. I was more mad at myself than anyone else because I lost my temper.

It was a real hecktic day wasn't it? I would call it Disorganized Chaos! HA HA! Ol Virgil looked like he was very upset! I think the board left the whole show on his shoulders! How fair was that? I did not like the extra long chain they used. They could have done 1 of 2 things to stop those tractors. 1, add more weight to the sled, or 2 start the pull over and go light to heavy. Goshens track is famous for our sled not being able to stop heavier tractors. I will give you an example, back in 2000 we pulled light to heavy, I was in the light weight mod class I weighed 3600lbs on my 50 H and lacked 1 inch from making a full pull!!! I still hold the all time percentage record in our club from that day! 405.65 percent! South Bend will be a different story. Very good track, excetpt in is uneven in spots. Light tractors in the class do very well at this pull. Like 45-55, weigh 4501! Keep the front down! soon as it comes up about 5-6 inches, you lose your bite!! Just thought I would tell you! Are you going to pull against Jerry?

Chad;

I will not be at South Bend pull. I am leaving Tuesday at 6 am on a bike trip along with 6 to 10 other guys I ride with. I realy hate missing this pull, but mt Harley is feeling a little bit neglected. Yes it was a little chaos in Goshen. I know I was confused along with some other people there. I will be back at the next pull in Aug. to kick some butt though. I hope with a little more HP and alot better wax job Ha Ha.
