I have two F-20's one with 11x36's and the other with 14.9x26's. How do the F-20's pull in Antique tractors pulls? And what classes do they get pulled in most often? Thanks in advance for the information. Mike in Minnesota

Thank You all for your insight and information. I am sure it will all help. It is going to prove to be an interesting season next year. I should be pulling at the Antique pull at the Rose City Threshing and Heritage Festival. I am hoping all will go well. Thanks Again.
Mike

there are 2 different first gear speeds in f-20's,if you can get ahold of an m&w pistons they protrude at least 1" out of the block,my buddies has them, big difference in power.the 26' tires should slow you down.

My '39 has a four speed transmission, plus road gear, and 36" tires. The '36 has just a four speed transmission, it also has the 26" tires. Which tractor would stay under the speed limit in antique pulls. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't pull my F-20 anymore, because I am not competitive. The guys I know that are competitive use 4 inch sleeves and pistons, I think the 26 inch wheels will help with the speed and gear problem. Also, another F-20 puller told me that the first gear in a regular is a lower gear. That might have been what the other follow up was referring to.

I just purchased the 39' with 11x36's on her. The clutch was rusted tight, and a mouse or a chipmunk had carried the clutch housing full of "Junk." I finally had time to pull the motor and work on the clutch. It took some diesel fuel and a wire brush on a grinder to shine everything up nice. Put it back together and it works now. Last night we hooked it in front of my brothers Farmall 560 Diesel. At first the carb was set lean. With a half turn of the happy screw we now have it so that we can drag the 560 around the yard with the brakes locked. It won't get hooked to the skid till next season but now we know she can pull fairly good. Thanks for the Help.

Mike there is also one in west central Minnesota
that pulls super strong in 4500 and even pretty tough in 5500. His really really barks, he uses
the 14.9X26 tires also I believe. He will be pulling at Prairie Village in Madison SD this Friday night. This is the largest pull in the Dakota's with somewhere over 200 hooks. Come and see.

f-20 pulls in 4500 class usually, they run a little fast in low gear though,if you have one with the lower 1st gear that will make a big difference!there's one in central WI that can't be beat, but he's pretty quiet about whats been done to it.
