A friend and I are going to try pulling my little Fords at this weekends antique tractor pull. Two weeks ago I pulled my 8N at a local pull, I installed the drawbar off of my 900 upside down to get the drawbar height up to 20". Would we be better to pull off of the lower lift arms, or to install the fixed drawbar set up on both tractors. And please don't pick on my Fords, they have out worked many a Farmall and Deere. Thanks

We pull a Ford 8n & Ford 600. We do pretty respectable most of the time. What wt. classes are you in & what kind of track are you pulling on? Also where are you pulling at?

We pulled the 8N in 2500 and 3000. The NAA we haven't weighed or pulled yet. I am not sure what the track is like never pulled there before. We are going to the Almelund Threshing Show in eastern MN.

The Naa should go in the 3000# class easly! I'de pull off the 3 point in the 2500# class & use the drawbar in the 3000# on the Naa. If you run out of power before you spinout, either lower your hitch height or lighten the tractor up a bit.Sometimes we run 2-3 hundred lbs. light in a class & we,re still in the hunt. To much bite will snuff a small tractor.Make sure you empty the fluid in the tires.Have fun!!
