Well from time to time this board experiences a "know it all" that is an expert on everything. But I beleive that this "Chads" is the expert of experts, however we all know what an expert really is.

Seems to me if he is willing to give advice out for free, he must not be afraid of what he is saying. He has given me some good ideas and hasn't asked for a dime. I don't see how someone can run another man down for trying to help the "Little guys" out. If you have been wronged why not be man enough about it and share it with the rest of use dummys. I know I have formed my own opinion of the man and never have met him face to face yet. Is he giving out info for free you had to pay top dollar for? Or just got your butt kicked a time or two? While I'm a newcomer to pullin', I've been involved with old Farmalls since the summer of 1963 [when I was 8 years old] working the parts counter for my dad and grand-dad at their garage. And after a career in the parts business [Farmall and automotive], as well as helping out in the shop whenever I could, I think I'm qualified to comment just a little on what's been said.

First, I don't think a personal attack on ANYone is necessary. If someone's putting out garbage information, the word WILL get around...always has, always will. As for Chads, it sure sounds like he's got a lot of defenders here; can't exactly say the same for puller2--and I don't know either one of them. But Chads seems to be willing to share what he DOES know, and that counts for a lot in my book.

A wise man once said: "Lead, follow, or get the h*ll out of the way"; puller2, you don't seem to be either leading OR following...and I haven't seen yet where you've been willing to help someone with some POSITIVE advice, as Chads--and a lot of others--have been willing to do. So if all you wanna do is gripe, take it somewhere else; some of us want to swap some pullin' info HERE.

Don't know Chads and have never seen him pull. Being probably about three times his age I'm guessing, he does have a lot of good information that works. I have read his post and have tried many things that he talks about years ago. I find everything very interesting. I have learned this in our cyber world. Someone created this computer monster that has a little thing called a mouse. Click the left hand key on everything that doesn't have Chads name attached in any way. The way I see it chads is trying to help out the new commers like me and keep the sport going and puller2 if there wasn't any computishen then pulling and tractor building would not be any fun so if ya don't like it don't do it

I was pretty much on your side until I saw this post, now I'm not so sure. You had a perfect opportunity to stay above the fray and just let it die, but by responding in that manner, you just took yourself down to his level, and now he knows he got your goat. Up until now, you sounded professional and polite, but now you're sounding cocky and arrogant. I don't know what you're building, and don't much care, but you might want to let it talk for itself on the track, rather than talking it up before it's even been on the track. Yep, ever since I saw the Hank Williams and Kid Rock concert last year, "Singing Family Tradition" I am a fan of Kid Rock. He is a backwoods man himself, just like me. Ha HA. I respect your caution, I pull against some very strong JD Gs here in NIATPA, Very tough competition. I don't underestimate the power of a DEERE. I have a few myself, I have a 58 JD 730 gas row crop. What make you so smart? Just because you have a POS H? The best running POS H is still not as good as an AC WD, or a Oliver 77/88. From what you posted about carburetors and dynos, it is clear than you know nothing about them.

I figured I better speak up for Chad as well, so far the info that he has shared has been right on and seems to be very knowledgeable. As for as who ever you are I really don't give two $hit$ for, I have never seen any reason why Chad needs to weight up to 5500 if you want to beat him, build a lighter tractor and go after him. However, I am not saying I got the hottest M in the world, but you name a place close to Ohio and I will be more than happy to rectify any problems you seem to have. That is on or OFF the track, cause I KNOW I AM MORE THAN MAN ENOUGH to take care of any issue with you! And if you are just wondering I don't give out idle threats, ask the S.O.B. that tried to steal a weight of mine at a pull, little hard to drive with a broken arm! Well all the info I was given from Chad I have to admit as been over the phone so other than actually documenting every word, this is not possible in my situation. However it appears to me and numerous others here that he has good advice. Now you maybe right on how he just retypes something that has already been said, but again it does appear that is all it took to help some of the fellow pullers out here on the forum. I was glad to see that you stated you "think" so that does give you credit that you are getting some oxygen to the brain, that is good. However, on a side note you have made it clear that Chad is full of BS, your opinion. Now I have never seen where Chad has made such an effort for anyone to agree with what he thinks only you seem to be doing this..... ... Something Wilder is coming along nicely. It will be ready for the next NIATPA pull. Sept, 17th? I belive. I redone a new head, and broke down and oringed the block. Its only a matter of time. Shes gonna rock, when she comes back!!!!! The short block is done. Just finishing porting and polishing the new head. Anyway my biggest fan is at it again, I have tried everything, OH well!! Well Sir, over the last 15 years I have been in the pulling circuits. I have done everything from stock pulling, to modified pulling, even pulled ol school, deadweight. I design. and build my own engines. My experience in pulling has been great. I started at the bottom like everyone else. worked my a$$ off striving to be the best competion I can offer when I go pulling. everything I tell people, I have done already myself, I have tested and used parts I offer in my own tractors. No, people do not have to agree with me, they do not have to buy anything from me. I offer technology that is new to everyone, but old school to me. I am an expert at what I do. I just want to share my 15 year tour with antique tractors and tractor pulling with anyone who wants to share an interest in technology, pulling stories, victories, and defeat. Chads

I say if he has somthing to offer to the boards that can be of help , go ahead, heck I have known some people that wouldn't give you advice if they were at gun point, this guy hardly knows any of us and is still willing to share his experiences and stories, if you don't like his posts then skip to the next one you do like, I would like to see this sport as one of friendliness and helping one another, if you make 50 bucks at a pull and feel good about ripping somebody up for it or being self centered, then you will end up in a small circle filled up with yourself. It is for fun, a hobby , I find it a personal challenge to see if I can do better than I did the last time I pulled.

I have never met Chad myself but I have benifited from some of his advice and I hope that he keeps up the good work. I have met a great deal of fine people while pulling at different events and most of the people I've met are out going and willing to help but very few are as willing to share the tec advice that Chad does.
