I have begun pulling a 49' M. I am unsure where to set my carb. Locals say to crank the fuel screw all the way out? I was taught that in a gas engine 14.7:1 fuel to air was max power. Too rich or lean will cause improper chemical reactions and loss of power. But whatever works the best I'll try. I have pulled on about 4 turns out were the motor SOUNDS the best. If all else fails i can find a dyno. Thanks

When you pull look for black smoke comming out of the exaust if you see quite a bit then you are giving it too much fuel and you need to turn the screw in a little a little bit of smoke is ok like a few puffs but not a steddy cloud
