A Little info about Columbus, You dont have to join a club to pull, Classes start out light 3 something and go all the way to heavy 12 something if we have the tractors. Pull is a TATPA pull with sled and scale. Friday practice pulls at 3 pm are $5 and Saturday hooks are $15. We will pull all day until the night entertainment starts that was one of the rules they put on us at the fair. We should have lights. the first year track was new and sandy, last year we packed the track after every pull and it got really hard. This year we will not have a packer but will use a blade with a mister on it so the track should be really good. as for directions the fair grounds are located on highway 71 kinda west north west of Columbus. If you are on interstate 10 from both directions just take the highway 71 exit. If you are coming from up north say Waco area you will be coming down to la Grange and take the highway 71 exit and go east southeast to Columbusand look for signs later down the road as soon as you cross the river. We have plenty of nice shade oak trees around the track and hopefully it will be kind cool. We had a few inches of rain this past week but things will be dry by next weekend if it doesnt rain anymore. Also I think there is a lawn mower and atv pull on sunday but I am not for certain. Any other info just ask, Hope to see yall here.
