My 1st question is there 6in crank that moline makes that will fit in a GVI.2nd What will have to be done as far as grinding goes inside the crankcase to fit a 6in crank in it? 3rd I think if I use a 5.75 piston I should have around 900ci does anybody know how much HP I should have (rough idea).4th is it difficult to put 5.75 pistons in a GVI? Was there ever a gasoline GVI made or will I have to use LP?If ive left something out please feel free to give me your 2 CENTS worth Ive never built one of these and any additional info would be nice .Plus if you know of someone who has one built that would like to sell or do some tradin let me know Id be very interested

THANX TY

Tyler,

A 605 (power unit) crank (or whole engine) will fit in yours. I believe an 800 crank requires an 800 motor but I'm not positive. A 605 is like a 4cyl tall block G motor, 6 cyl. It was not used in regular production tractors often. If you are going with such a big motor an 800 power unit might work easier depending on your wallet and local rules. If you want specifics on what fits what, I can help some.

you should have about 200 or so horse if you can get it. I believe an hd800 had a 6" crank, I think you can just drop it in the tractor the whole motor and have 175hp stock strait off the pump.

A HD800 will put out 250HP stock. If you tune it right, you can get 300. A HD bored and stroked to 1000cid can make 450HP.

I have seen them on the dyno at 300 with the 800D motor Reworked. I got one that is stock stroke and bore just injection pump and intake work done with it and it runs at 145HP.
