We made the trip down to Eagleville. The new place was ok, the track was good, the club members were nice, but the guy running the pull didn't know his A$$ from an exhaust pipe! The scales were screwwed up, They weighed 100-200lb different everytime I went across them. You had to reweigh your tractor if you moved a weight around on your tractor, and he didn't care what tire size you run in any class. He also said that an M Farmall came from the factory with pressed steel wheels on the rear!! The rules were a joke. I think he pissed atleast half of the pullers off. I suggest if Eagleville wants to have a good pull next year, they need to get someone in charge who knows what the heck is going on!!

I enjoyed the pull. Always seems to be a problem with the rules. I too didn't like the "modified" M's pulling the in the pure farm class. If the only way you can win is to "cheat" then what good is winning? I know removing the PTO and blocking off the back of the tractor is to reduce weight and they both had to add weight back but I am sure they had engine mods to go with the other stuff. I loved the factory drawbar "d-rings" they used too! Oh, and the non factory front end weights. Never been anywhere exceptions weren't made for the 'local' folks. Oh well, makes it even more fun to beat em!

Was kinda odd they had a 0 allowance for the scales when the scales would not repeat within 200 lbs. Maybe they will take some of that 400+ hooks money and buy a set of digital scales and get em certified.

Probably be back next year anyway. Enjoyed the track and the pull.

John

I had a fairly good time. I experienced the other guy's problem with the scales and weight moving problem. I know the guy that was in charge of the pull and to my knowledge, he as never pulled a tractor. He sure pissed alot of farm stock boys off when he didn't throw out that M with pressed wheels.

I would have liked to smacked him with it. It looked to be older than my tractor!
