It's time to set some of you young whippersnappers straight about the dates on the production of the Case 930. I don't have records excetp what my dad and me bought from the Case dealer in Coffeyville Kansas. Up until 1958, my dad had owned a large number of Case tractors including 9 D sereis, 7 L, 7 LA, 4 500, 4 600, and 4 900 Tractors. I went into partnership with my dad after the wheat harvest of 1958 and we used 2 500 tractors, 4 600 tractors, and the 4 900 tractors to put in the crop that fall of 1958. We also had 2 800 Case-a-matic for rowcrop purposes. After wheat harvest in 1959, the month of July, we traded both 500 and all 4 600 plus $7700.00 for 4 brand new Case 930. I always beleived and still believe that the 930 Case tractors we had were some of the first ones make adn no one will convince me oterwise. You can look at any book you like. The Case 930 was nothing more than a gloryfied 900 but it started in 1959. I know why some of you don't like it but you're going to have to face it. Case was way ahaed of the game when they built this tractor. Just a bit of history from someone who knows first hand. Have a good day.

i tend to agree with you. I have a nebraska tractor test book that shows a listing for a 930 in '59, although i have looked at production records listed in a case book i have and haven't seen a 930 listed in '59. they may not have been in full blown production untill 60, but the had to make some to test them in 59.

case fiscal year ended on october 31, so tractors built in november and december were next years modles, just cause they were built in 59 dont mean they were 59 modles 930 were introcuced as 1960 modles this is from official case records, just my 2 cents worth DC

The date I was told was 1959. 1957 is not in question. If that's the date, we'll have to pull in Modern Class. The dates on the sheets said Pre-1960. Modern was 1960 and up. HH is the one with the history book. I've ordered it but it hasn't come in at Hastings yet. If I can get it or get HH to bring it to Melborne, it'll be there and you can read it yourself if you promise not to get tear-stains on the pages. Just giving you a little more $#*t to stir.

Love from Aunt Esther, Shady Grady, Rollo, and Pops.

If 1957 is the date in question, then you boys better go park your 930. The date I was reading and have heard eveybdoy gripeing about is 1959. How could we have bought 930s in July of 1959 if Case didn't make them? They were definitelly made in 1959. No speculation here. But if it's 1957, park 'em boys. Sounds like somebody is changing year model rules to get rid of the 930 Case and the Moline G6 tractors. Those are the onnly ones they're fussing and cussing about iin our area. I hear you can put one of those big power units on the MM and can't tell the difference. You guys have fun pulling anyway.

Change the decals, emblems and serial number tag and almost no one can tell a 1957 900 from an early 930
