I am building 500 cube JD-A whould like in put on Jerrys head and manifold on the A have heard that on Gs unless your running a lot of cid you will lose a lot of bottom end and will it be worth the $$$ THANKS

The Wichita head is a well made head. A very good casting. They work well if you can find a flow bench. I personnel think the head is to big, and a little over kill. The head flows well untill it gets to the bottom of the head; the air just dies. It has a (puddle) affect. Myself, I like the late JD A Heisler heads - if you can find one. I hate to say it, but 500 cu. might not be big enough for that head.

i am running one on my 47 a and i havent had any proublems with it yet , and i am running 6 and half bore and 9 and a quarter stroke and it runns nice, havent been out of first and second allyear exsept when i blown a head gasket had to go to a copper gasket
