You keep talking about governor springs and 2800 rpm. What are the exact specs? length hook point to hook point.wire dia.thousandths.tension lbs @ inches. I have tried numerous spring combos, seem to hit a brick wall above 2000 rpm. Thanks.

Are you using a 4 weight governor? If so, that may be the problem, there is too much centrifical force trying to hold the carb shut than to keep ti wide open, It contradicts itself when you try to change the spring. If you go to the post "M need help" the spring specs are there. If the spring I decribed is close to what you have, I have another spring that works in the 4 weight governors that will work. ChadS
