Hi I am interested in pulling and was wondering if a Farmall H can be made competitive or if I would be better with a Farmall M? I pulled my Farmall H this weekend. I went 178.6 in the 4500 lbs class. Is this good or low? I need to go through the engine this winter. It dont smoke but seems to be running on 3 cylinders. How much do fenders and a belt pulley weight? Because a lot of guys were in the 4000 lbs class and I weighed 4138 with me and was wondering if those would put me over?( i weight maybe 140). Thanks.

Matt

I started out with an M myself. If your pullin area is anything like Northern Indiana, an H may have a better chance at winning in the 4500. The M classes around here can be up to 55-60 in the 5500lbs class. An H with a 350 motor would pull pretty good if you get it balanced right in the 4500. Good luck this winter!
