I have pulled against a couple in SW MO and they pull really well, beat the crap outa my wd45 last year. But he couldnt beat my douches this year.Although i only beat him by a few feet.He has the original 4cyl and gettin lots of fuel,he has about a 6 inch blaze above the stack! It pulls from 4500-6500 It is a Fordson Major with a dexter diesel and sims pump. Some guys rig a linkage to the start aid button on this type pump and push it when she gets right adds about 10 times fuel!
I have a repair manual all about these,if you want info let me know.

Theres a little bit of info

Get a 6 cylinder for it ,fit a turbo, make a twin cerametallic paddle 13" clutch, pump more fuel in,
18.5 by 38 tyres 2800 to 3000 rpm
then you got a puller
dont use the 4 cylinder not so good but I have seen the major back end take 500 to 600 hp at 6000rpm.
hope this helps

The 6 setup, sounds fun but would be pulling in pro stock. The 6 was never offered in the major. But I saw a picture of a guy that put a perkins V8 in one!

The 6 was in the major The county super 6 was a major back end and a ford 590e engine 330cu in.
Iam now using the 380 engine and yes it is fun.

Some can get the engines up 500cu in but it costs some have fun.

third party image

70 % of the british limited pro stocks are 6 cyl Super Majors.... and they wouldn't let them run if they were not based on a stock model.
