The big sled is just as Red described. I remember from this past May when it killed the motor on an 830, so you better be making all the horses you can when you hook up. The scales are going to be rented from company in Houston, TX. First or second gear is acceptable, and you can probably slip in there with 3rd if ya got enough motor and tires. The kinks are worked out with running two sleds. May was the first time with two sleds and we learned from the mistakes. So just come, pay the $15 hook fee and we will have fun.

Hey, The sleds are those that are in Burton. One is a little sled like the one used in Newbraunfels for 5100 and under the other is a bigger sled that was used by Texas Tractor pullers Assoc. back in the late 70's and 80's for 5500 and up. It is a good sled but an a$$ to get started. The Farmall pulled it last year in the 5500 and we did really good in first gear. Now with the new motor might could try 2nd gear. they say first gear only but I know for a fact that people pulled 2nd and even 3rd but I'm not going to mention my name. Others did it also and it didnt seem like a big deal. It is a safety thing. Last year running two sleds was a slight problem but from what I hear they have the timing and clutter worked out. You would be using the big sled and it is physically larger than our TATPA sled. Weight classes are like we usually pull. they start the 3100 on the little sled and the 5500 on the big sled at the same time and work their way up at the same time. De Leon is a long drive so The Farmall is going to try to be in Burton but we have a family reunion that day so ????? Valley Mills is the 18th

I wish it were a little closer... We will be in Valley Mills for sure... Last time we were at Burton is was like pulling a sand box... Worse than Corsicana.. haha.. I even think I remember them asking you about what gear U had The Farmall in... I'm sure they have the track worked out... Probably going to try the DeLeon pull and leave the tractors and pick them up on the way to Abilene... Glad to here there are starting to be more organized pulls... The two sleds would be nice... cut down on some of those late night trips home... JDGnut
