two main questions . The first just got a 70 as a gift and plan to pull it. wondering lots, like how light can i get it, what size tires to run, how hard is it to pull the hydralics, pto and belt pulley off, and last but not least how to get the most power out of it with out over hauling the motor. Next I allready pull a row crop 88 (not a Super)and it pulls really well. Wonder what i can do as far as a head to get more lug. thanks for any help you can give me.

If you have enough money anything can be made into a competitive puller but the 70 is a bad choice to invest in.Thay can make the 3500# class easily but depending on your local competition you will start to live real hard in 4500 on up.Save your money. My opinion...

I pull a 70 That I was only pulling in 3500 and 4000 till this year. I did a little work and started pulling 4500 late in the season and have pulled a 2nd the last 2 times . So I tried 5000 last pull that is were it run out of power. that is with a stock block.

Thought that was you Ken who relied. have you found an 88 yet? Big Jack is wanting one BAD!!!! I have seen a few 70's on here for a decent price and might think about getting one so I can come down to the light classes and play some.

Would be bad for us to bring home the trophys and let those "other green" tractors watch huh? LOL!
