N60's are about the point of peak power for the natural aspirated 2-53 two valve per cylinder. They will make smoke and start questions about being stock or not. 21 to 1 will make more power than the 19 to 1 turbo pistons or the 17 to 1 "S" pistons. 2400 rpm is fine with the late HP cam follower springs and valve springs. 60HP at 2400rpm and N45's is normal. More airflow from a dry airfilter conversion helps. The stock clutch may slip unless a new spring is installed. I also had a high friction compound disk made with more surface area too. A bit jumpy on the clutch until gotten used to. Oil cooling for the pistons will be required with N40 or larger injectors. I would like to slow mine in each gear 30% with the pre 31,000 model 1010 ring and pinion along with the post 31,000 model 1010 final drive gears.

in the injectors. can i replace the S45 with
N45"s without other problems? Is the "S" just lower compresstion Pistons? N45 are not as hard to find as the S45"s.
