Hi guys:

I'm wanting to build a farm stock/hot farm pull this winter in the 10500#-14000# classes and want some help/suggestions. The 1466 has more cubes than the 1066, correct? How much of a difference in weight is there between the two?

I'm wanting to run a Switzer 3lm turbo with bigger fuel lines, do I want to rework the rotary pump or install an inline? With this much added power, will I have to lower the compression or o-ring the block to keep head gaskets from blowing? Last, how much will the stock clutch hold? Where can you get performance ones at? In the end, I'd like to be at ~300 horse.

Any info greatly appreciated.

John

if you only want 300 hp your stock clutch will last for quite a while.the 1066 has a 414 ci and the 1466 has a 436ci not real sure on the weight but both should be fairly easy to get into 10,500# class.the 1466 should run around 260 hp with the fuel screw turn all the way out with everything else stock.you shouldn't have any need for a copper head gasket or o-rings.

Thanks Redman:

At what horsepower level will I have to install a heavy clutch and worry about the head gaskets? I'm thinking of adding a Switzer 3lm turbo and getting some pump work done, what do you recommend?

Thanks,

John
