ChadS: H engine build perspective

I've been thinking about the task ahead of me in building Dad's old H, and I want to be able to use it as both a puller and to possibly mow some pasture...probably 50/50 usage, as the farm's not that big (around 15 acres). So I'm thinking maybe 3-5/8" sleeved piston set, stroker crank--whose do you recommend?--and some hi-lift rocker arms (roller?)...I'm not really wanting an all-out, blood-and-guts puller; just something to maybe make the guys with the bone-stock M's sit up and take notice, but something reliable enough to still be practical on the farm (when I can add hand clutch for "almost-live" pto, live hydraulic pump, and 3-point hitch).

Does this sound like a practical plan? If you'd rather not discuss it here, you can email me.

I can build the 3-5/8 pistons, and a set of rods that will make about 50 to 55 hp with out stroking it.. Using the High dome,, M&Ws out of a 300-350, and then using the offset wrist pin bushing,, I can shoot that compression ratio up 3to5 points just by this method. I would have to cut down the outsides of the pistons in a lathe or mill. and leave the high centers alone,, except to make the piston clear the head. I have done this to a SH a few years back,, worked very well. I won't post the HP,,, because of controversey,, I am offering engines, from stock to bigger power, depends on how much the customer wants to spend for how much HP. I can do the block, and rods and pistons for around 1250.00, with block and rod cores.. Chads
