G-Man.......you may have an apology waiting

Hey there, I wasn't ever trying to stir things up on the HP torque deal. I will hand over a true apology if I read your words wrong, which seems to be the case. After thinking and kicking ideas around, I thought of a LAW of mechanical physics :Conservation of energy. Energy is neither created or destroyed, just converted in form. Seeing HP is essentially a unit of energy, that clicked in line with what you were trying to say. All the input power will be felt at the output, (the frictional losses being negligible). The conversion equations that were being offered did me no good, for if I can't see the derivations and units, I just can't seem to trust it(how-to-get-there-from-here attitude). Thanks for being polite and patient, regards, Dennis.

No problem, and my intent was not to offend you or anyone (well, maybe those that said I was full of it, lol). I do agree with you that it can be hard to visualize and theorize without being able to put your hands on it or see it happen in person. No hard feelings here.

Burns: What have you been up to. Have not seen much of you lately. Was looking for the B. M. up this way more this year. I got third in the 10,000 in Albion with THUMPER on the dead boat this year. Not bad as most tractors in that class there are 80 and 100 Hp.

K. F. You got that right. I am looking forward to next year now. The OLD RED HORSE and THUMPER are ready now. I am going back to pulling farm stock with Allegheny next year. They have had a big change in people running the pulls. Old out and new in. We will still be pulling all the other pulls too. I will only pull THUMPER with Allegheny.

I'll do that. I can't find any links to pictures of the Burns-O-Matic anymore, and I need some inspiration. You still have it, don't you?
