Wanting to build an M engine to pull 3.5 mph classes...Maybe 4500 to 5500 or even 6000 in second gear with UNcut tires....running like div two or three rules so not a whole lot of HP needed....WAs thinking of going with the 4020 piston and 6 1/8 stroke....of 4.25 M&W pistons an stroking it a half inch..... What other suggestions do you all have...need to keep it under 3000$ if at all possible or around there..THANKS

I have a complete short block, that is 4.25 bore, stock stroke. was 75hp@540, email me at hpuller@hotmail.com if you or any one may be interested. The combo you mentioned is a great, inexpencive method, but I would doubt you could build that engine from scratch for less that 3500. depends on where you go to have machine work done i guess. just my opinion.
