I have a wd with wd45 crank and 4-1/8" pistons in it. Have won points championship past 3 years and just saturday pulled in the 8500# class and spun out. Am running 13.6-38" tires and seems to be the hot ticket with a Allis.

I would suggest you check the rules where you plan on pulling, there was a ruccus at Marshallville OH this year because many of the WC and WDs had D-17 or Gleaner motors and were DQ because they did not have the stock block or head. Most places will not challange you, but this change is relativly obviuos.

It would be very comppettitive in the #3500 class. Those motors put out 54 h.p. I've bought two of them so far out of gleanor combines and I gave $200 and $300 for them both running. I think its easier to find the old combines sitting than it is to find a D17 for parts.

If built correctly they will produce over 100hp.
