THINKING ABOUT THE SAME THING. HAD A BUDDY CALL ME WITH INFO I GUESS A 400CASE DIESEL PISTON WOULD BE CLOSE ON WRIST PIN HEIGTH. PROBABLY COULD MOVE WRIST PIN BUSHING AROUND TO GET TO 6", WILL WORK FORSURE AT 5-3/4" 400PISTON IS 4-1/8" BORE. LOOKING AT ABOUT 75 HORSE. I UNDERSTAND A 4020 JOHN DEERE PROPANE PISTON AND 6-1/8" STROKE WORK'S REAL WELL ALSO, YOU COULD PROBABLY BACK THAT DOWN TO 6" RUNNING IN THE BLOCK NO LINER. STOCK 450 HEAD GASKET WILL SEAL IT UP !!!!
400LP HEAD GOOD CHOICE . MAKE SURE YOUR RUNNING A 400-450 CAM !!!

Not too much. The rods will hit the cam. The cam and rods will both need some clearancing, but nothing major. I'd expect 75-80 HP with the LP head.
