I want to build a DC for a Hot Farm class, no rpm limits, would like to keep cubes 350 to 400 at the very most, don't want to stroke it, has anyone put a newer blocke, 830, 870, etc in a DC yet? Any ideas, suggestions, or general BS is of course appreciated, thanks.

dc is a good one to build, but lb 4 lb, you can make more hp out of an la, run almost as light as a dc, and gobs more torque. if you want a cas puller, that ma be an option to consider

Theres not any block that will interchange that I know of. It would be hard to pass a later block off as original. You can go 4-1/2 to get your 350 cubes. You would be better off going 4-5/8 and using LA sleeves. Either way the more $$ the better your gonna pull. It wouldn't be hard to do what you want. Be sure and have it all ballanced if your gonna turn a bunch of RPMs.

That was a VAC he put a 201 combine engine in. I don't believe that he put a combine engine in a DC. The only engine that would be close is a 400 case engine.
