New to this pulling thing, so be KIND!!! Someone said you could mix gas and diesel fuel in diesel tractor's for more power--can you and if so what is the mixture and will it harm anything? Any suggestion's for more bang without going into it (not ready to rebuild anything yet, just having fun playing and looking for possible quick fixes).

Mix at 5cc per gallon will stop preignition and the intake fuel will be so hot. Try it on a pto dyno and you will be amazed with the low end lugging power

One of the guys we pull with is building a Super Stock tractor, he said they mix 50/50 gas/diesel and add a quart of 2-cycle oil for lubrication. He suggested we mix 5 gal. diesel, 1/2 quart gas, and a small can for 2-cycle for the two 560D we pull. Did it for one pull, but it was hard to tell a difference, several other factors.

Now hold on there ,I thought propane was one of the [LEGAL] fuels.i did not read anything about not using it in a diesel.

Puller, Maybe!?!?!? Ya'd really hafta know your stuff, cause gas combusts at much less pressure(which is what causes a dsl. engine to combust,) than dsl. fuel.It would seem that if combustion took place earlier in the stroke (while the piston is further from TDC) less power would result on the down stroke. Like I said, just my theory. Also, dsl. fuel has lubricants in it that lubricate the injector pump, gas has none, and tends to break down lubricants, which seems that it would mean less or no pump lubrication. Pete
