Does anyone have a set of 9 bolt hubs to fit a 530 JD? I was told a 4010 or 4020 factory dual hub will work if I use my wedges or a set of u bolt hubs from an old Case tractor. My axles are 2 7/8". I'm also looking for pressed steel wheels and 16.9x34 tires. I've got 20.8x34 tires and clamp on dual wheels for sale or trade.

PJR, Been there done that as they say. I have a early model 4030 that came with 2 7/8" axle shafts that I also put nine bolt hubs on. The early 4030 like the 2520, 2510 and 50 John Deere tractors all had the same size 2 7/8" axle. A factory (John Deere) dual hub was available to fit these tractors years ago. What I learned after acquiring a set of these is this hub is the same hub that was used on larger models with different wedges in them. If your wheel casting has a casting number of F1500R your wedges from your wheel will fit in John Deere dual hubs that may have wedges in them for 3 1/8" or 3 3/8" axle size shafts. Just find a set of these hubs and if they are not the correct size swap your wedges from your original wheels. To find them with the small wedges is pretty hard to do. God Luck Dave W.

Dave, thanks for the posting on the hubs. I didn't know that the wedges were the only thing that was different, but I should have figured. We are planning on installing a set of pressed wheels on a friends R that we have been working on. (This winter sometime.) The dealer has a few set of hubs, but I wasn't sure about the axles size, I think it is 3 1/8 on the R. We will have to cut a key way in the Axle. We think we have most of the bugs out of the fuel system on the R, and we are just short of getting in the 7500lbs class. The pressed wheels will get us close to the 7000lbs class. I'll send you some pics of the R. Thanks for the info..
