Making the wheelie bars for an Oliver seems to be a little more difficult to build than others because of the axle being octagon shaped.I was wondering how some of you keep the bars from slipping on the axle?I built me some flanges to set on the edge and welded them to the bracket.Going to be a long winter to wait for the next pull to see what the Super 88 has got. Thanks

The row crop axles are not much of a problem. Most people just build a saddle that keys to the shape of the axle housing and attach the wheelie bars to it. The shape of the axle housing prevents rotation. You should try building them for an Oliver "standard", the axle housings are round with a slight taper. I have a some pictures that I can email to you when I get back to work on Thursday. They may help with a few ideas.

Good Luck,
A.P.

I have them on but I will have to strengthen them somehow cause they are trying to flex the tie bolts up and down.Next year you need to make plans ahead of time and make darn sure you go to Tunica. If you care anything at all about antique tractor pulling than you would like it.You see all brands, even Kroutheads Deutz.
