In a stock class(as in stock rpm's or maybe 10 over)do most group's let stock flywheels go or do they want steel ones? This could make or break the small class I am working on. Thanks

Most clubs don't have flywheel specs for under 10% over pulling,, I think NATPA,, and othe clubs that have a open class,, and run high rpms,, have safty rules including steel flywheeels, scatter blankets,, etc.. You should be ok with a stock wheel, but it weight is a concern,, and if you can find someone to make one, and afford it,, a steel flywheel would be fine.. I would think that with a light flywheel you might lose a little torque, There may be a factory flywheel out there some where that may be thinner, and still bolt on to the crank, not for sure,, ChadS
