Hey burns. It's time for you to get on your soap box and tell about your tractors. Tell us about their winning records and how you built them by yourself. Tell us how much stroke and bore you put in them. We want to know about the work you have done to get all your wisdom. We all want to here form the expert. Save the wise remakes for the Deere haters, this is about YOU.

First I must ask you to generate some balls and at least leave your name and email address.

Second Whether you are being sarcastic or not. I don't feel that I am an expert. I share a lot of information with others because I have had a lot of people share information with me over the years. I have talked with tons of good people who have shared their success and their failures. I guess I am just trying to give back to others. Besides, I am humble enough to ask and listen to others.

As far as tractors, the link below covers a large portion of the tractors that I have reworked with help (my brother in law primarily restored the IH H). I don't have the equipment to grind crankshaft journals, valve seats, and block/head milling so I pay to have that work done. Also, I don't have a press for the bearings so I have that work done elsewhere. We don't own a tractor that has a stroked crankshaft. My experience comes from working on tractors owned by other people with the funds to support such a project. As far as bore, nothing out of the ordinary. I did have our early IH M block bored to handle the bigger sleeves/pistons from a 400. Played a little with camshafts.

As far as a winning record, we win some and we lose some. I would probably guess that we are fairly consistent with top five finishes. I find myself in the middle of the pack occasionally but I haven't been on the bottom for a long time. (I take that back, I had my worst pulling experience this past summer at the Venago County pull. The scales weighed heavy so I pulled the 5500 6500 with our JD A. I had the tractor in high range 3rd gear and fell flat on my face in 5500. Because I was planning on pulling the 4500-5500, I didn't have my belly bracket. I had 1700 pounds on the back bracket so needless to say my front end sky rocketed up as soon as I moved) All I can say is that I was wrong and I made the mistakes that caused me to look like a fool. At least I felt like one.

If you are looking for something to critize me, that is fine. I have broad shoulders and I can take it. Let the bashing begin. I would like all the a$$holes to refrain from posting. If I want to hear from an a$$hole, I'll leave a little putt putt out tonight (right after the little lady snuggles up to stay warm)LOL

So what you are saying is you have not stroked a motor? The biggest bore was .125 oversized? Talked to a bunch of other pullers? Maybe you always talk about John Deere being better than IH because you don't know anything about building pulling motors?

If you are trying to determine my credibility or determine a flaw to point out that is fine. Have I put together a motor like Hutson's W40 NO. Could I probably not. Do I have a problem with sharing that with you NO. Do you know what IMHO stands for? Im My Humble Opinion. That would mean that I have an opinion on a particular topic. Yes, I post quite often but I do it because I feel that I can offer something to the discussion. It doesn't have to be a right or wrong answer like you feel it needs to be! I like everyone in this world base my opinions off of facts or experiences. Here in W PA we probably have a less of a ratio of stroked tractors than there is in the midwest. How many stroker motors do I have to have built inorder to have any credibility with you my friend.

Hey Jerk Off. Apparently I can not meet your standards for a know it all like yourself. I would probably be the biggest hypocrite if I said otherwise.

I am part of a family who owns a variety of brands of tractors, red green orange and gray. My father-in-law pulls a farmall 400 and my brother-in-law pulls a farmall M (which I had a huge part in putting both together). I have picked the John Deere line because it adds FRIENDLY competition at the pulls. Would I have problem pulling a Farmall NO. I pulled our 400 the last part of the 2000 season while I had my G apart. Gotta admit I could get use to that TA.

You have picked the wrong guy to pick a fight. Because why? I don't care what you say, I don't care what you pull, I don't care what I pull, I don't like to loose but I can shake hands and move on, do I feel that I need to justify my "abilities" based on how many stroker motors I have built _uck NO. Can I appreciate a strong pulling machine, YES.

Speaking of pulling, what verifiable proof do you have when it comes to building motors? You can't even add your real name to the post let alone critize me. How many stroker motors have you built? Div II? Div III? Div IV? How many firsts do you have? Christ I doubt you even build the motors yourself. I would be willing to bet you pay someone to build all of your motors or you just buy a proven tractor.

Just remember bung hole, I don't care how much butter you add to that ribbon or trophy, they don't taste like chicken. Contrary to popular belief. Who is the smart one? The average Joe like myself that pulls a tractor with a minimal investment or the guy who pulls a tractor with $10,000-$20,000+ motor. I'm voting for the average Joe.

Final thought email if you can so we can discuss this matter privately. I'd like to read about pulling over your stupid remarks

burns,

Why bother with these guys? They are just out to try to make your life miserable. Let them believe what they want; you will never say anything to convince them of your abilities.

Some people get their jollies from juvenilestic behavior. You have found those people. Now just ignore them. They have no intention of sharing knowledge or giving friendly advice; they just want to ridicule and harrass.

Don't take the bait.

Why do I bother? Because I think it is funny. Do you think I get upset about what this jerk has to say? The whole tractor pulling/restoration that I have done is out of enjoyment. The memories of driving in the middle of the night, getting a stuck tractor out of a giant brush pile, or any of the stories that many of you have personally experienced with friends and family is what it is all about. If I win that's great and if I don't, I'll give it a whirl the next time. If these guys are the type to get all pissed off when they get beat, then they need to find a new hobby.

I am sure someone can explain how I became Dr. Burns when I thought my label was King of the Dumb answers? To think I get paid to have this much fun. IMHO
