I installed a set of M&W 50 pistons a couple of years back in my 41 B with no starting problems at all. Means getting your block bored .180.

Clay if you put in high compression pistons,at first it will be a little stiff, but after that it will start better due to the increased compression enhancing the combustion process. I got a "41 G" with pullin pistons and it actually makes a cracking sound when it fires and I don't have any trouble. Now if it doesn't fire after the first and second rollit might cause some #$$#@#%% no what I mean. Later Gman

The bore really won't effect how hard it will be to start that much. However, you will notice some difference with the installation of the higher compression aluminum pistons. Either way, you will be able to hand start the tractor with this combination. Be sure to have your ignition system tuned up as well to help in the starting process.
