400 Head on M

When I took my orginal head in for planing, they found it was cracked. I got a bare 400 head at an auction and swapped in the rocker shaft from the original. This head was also planed and I'm using spacers under the rocker support to make up the difference. The 400 head doesn't have the tapped line for the oil runner like the M. Do these oil through the shaft supports? Will I need to come up with a way to oil the rockers? If I do, where can I come off for an oil supply?
I'm no engine builder, just trying to get this thing together again. I've been waiting two years. Any help is appreciated.

The tube you are refering to is a breather. If you follow it, it goes to the air cleaner.

Don't worry about this line, you don't need it. The rockers are lubed from the center of rocker arm shaft thru a small tube that slides into the head. Hope this helps.

That explains why I never had problems on the old head, because the tube was missing when I opened her up. I guess I knew that it oiled from the tube you're talking about too. Don't know what I was thinking. Guess I'm just getting paranoid. Had so many set backs on this project already. Thanks.
