Hi I was wondering what shaving the head 1/16th would do? What can you take off and be safe? This tractor is going to be a worker/ shower/ stock puller and wondering if it is worth it. What is the max you can go for a puller and the max I would want to go for a tractor Im gonna go plow with at plow days? Will it hurt to run and work the engine long periods with it shaved? Thanks
Matt

Up to .075 for a work horse, and up to .110 on a puller, minumum thickness on cyl plate is .125 thick. Hope this helps. Chad

That would be .062 would be good for 2-3 more hp. Stock with flat tops, 100psi, stepped head piston. 125-130 firecrater 140-150psi. Send me a email, Have some tricks to tell you about, if you have not read them already,, LOL ChadS

What head do you have? There are at least three or four, having different compression rations because of the size of the combustion chamber. Because of this removal of a given amount of stock, perhaps .075, can yield little or very pronounced results.
