The Hoe Handle D-21 out of Zanesville,Ohio is still a hard runner. There really arent very many D-21's pulling at the national level anymore. You see a few Super Farm D-21's.With the cubic inch limits being so high the AC's are at a disadvantage as 585 cubes is pushing the limit on them.

Here in Missouri there are still several D-21's pulling in limited pro stock, pro field, out of field classes, etc.

Chad, The Hoe Handle D-21 is a Diesel SS and has been pulled by Jeff Englehart and Charlie Ross for many years now.I do remember the Kemper Brothers D-21 alky burner.Cant remember what happened to it.

Their was one at Inverness and Zellwood and it did real well but I believe last place. It had very tough competition.

Dennis Bobb of Crothersville, IN still pulls two d-21's, a pro-stock and a super farm, both are 611 cubes, 3" charger and 4.1 charger, He's been pulling ac's since the late 60's, once winning at the Indy Super Pull, and his bro. Danny, was Super Stock Puller of the year, around 1970.

Art, Do the Bobbs just brush pull now?Didnt a Marvin Bobb used to pull a D-21 too?I can remember his name in an old NTPA Puller.

Hurricane Allis out of Kansas is at 585 cubes and thats as big as they wanted to go.I had heard there were a few D-21's over 600 cubes.

Hi guys, I thought that everyone had forgotten when my dad had pulled. For the old guys out there that do remember him, yes he was the first canadian puller and the first canadian to win the US points championship in 1973. He is doing well now, he is retired just playing around on the farm restoring old tractors(allis chalmers of course), nice to know that people still remember his name. Take care to all, Warren Oughtred

Dennis Bobb owns both the 21's, Marvin drives the hauler and drives the Super Farm, "Thunder", Dennis drives "Classic", both are sharp machines. Usually brush pulls, Dennis did tie into 17 pro-stocks at Clarksville, IN last fall, and came in seventh, spinning out on a fair track. Beat tinkertoy, tim cain's tractors and several other national pullers---Dennis said it was his best run in 10 to 15 years, went home and started building a bigger charger(said he had almost 600.00 dollars in the old one(1/2 schwitzer,1/2 air research)---someone gave him a bigger compressor wheel, so he machined his old housing to put it on!
