I want to put a Rolls Royce V-12 engine out of a P-51 and put it in a Farmall Super C. Is it possible? Can I convert it over to diesel or LP gas? I need some advice from all of you. Also if I can't I have a spare turbine engine out of an M1-A1 Abrams tank, will it fit in a Cub Lo-Boy?

HELP

Well I am not sure about the M1-A1 Abrams enigine in the Cub but I really have seen a Jet in a Cub cadet. If i can find the picture of it I'll pass it on.

Way back in the 1970's, when I saw pictures of some "madman" named C. J. Potter who put a 'way-pi$$ed-off smallblock Chevy V-8 on a MOTORCYCLY frame, and went drag racing with it...that's when I realized that, if you were willing to do the necessary engineering, you could probably put a blown Hemi in a Nash Metropolitan, or whatever else you wanted to.

Just don't forget to factor in "The Rule of Unintended Consequences" when you build it...or, like the first few guys who built VW-powered motorcycles/trikes found out, it all stays on the ground and steers a lot better with a Chevy engine block hung where the original motorcycle engine would have been..for example.

I mean, you can set off a cherry bomb up a horsefly's butt, and he'll probably pass the next Kentucky Derby winner...but only ONCE.

It's OK with me if you do that, but why can't you smile instead of being surly when you do it?

I saw a train wreck yesterday and I wondered if I could take the EMD out and put it on my 122 cadet?

Okay, Okay... if the fella was serious, I would like to say that it won't work, except for parades! Our stock Farmall 230 that we have had since new has twisted both axles off right at the bull gear...and that's 27HP. Although that's within 15,000 hours of service with a loader on it, but with something 10 times as big it won't last mere minutes..... BUT....I still would like to take an old IH pickup engine and put it in a Cub Cadet! Serious! A Green Diamond Flathead would be super sweet- they run like a sewing machine! ...I know, dream on..... ..FD
