Was wondering how much stroke could be used without grinding the crankcase on an 80 or 820 JD.Also what would have to be done to the front of the crankcase to get an 8 inch block to fit. I believe if you just use the 8 inch block it should give you 800+ cubes. What kind of horses would this have if your pumps and injector were done right.Does anybody know of anyone running the 8 inch blocks?

I have seen larrys gangreen get beat several times, and if there is a pull off he needs to wait for it to cool down.

You should get ahold of Larry Carlisle out of North Carolina. He runs some of the nastiest deere 2 cylinders i have ever seen.

LARRY'S A SRAIGHT UP PERSON . HE DOES HAVE SOME OF THE , WELL LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN . HE HAS THE BADDEST 2 CYLINDER JOHN DEERES I'VE EVER SEEN . HE PULLS THEM IN THE 14,000 LB AND UNDER SUPER ANTIQUE CLASSES AND IF YOU BEAT HIM YOU'VE MADE A GOOD PULL OR HE MESSED UP BAD. HE'S A HECK OF A NICE PERSON. I DID SEE AN ADD SOMETIME BACK WHERE HE WAS OFFERING TO SALE SOME PARTS MAYBE EVEN SOME COMPLETE ENGINES. YOU MIGHT GIVE HIM A CALL. MAYBE SOMEONE ON THIS FORUM HAS HIS NUMBER. GOOD LUCK, DR SR
