What kind of turbo can I put on my 5020? I currently run a turbo system off of a 6030 with a Schwitzer but the 5020 won't quite get on top of the turbo. Can I get a smaller exhaust housing for this turbo or should I find a completely different turbo? Also, how can i get more fuel out of the ol' 5020? I have already had the pump sent to Scheid's and they put different leaf springs in the head. They said that was as big as the could go on the pump. Anything more would require the pump head to be changed for a different one. Is this true? The torque screw is all the way in. Were any of the 531's straight pumped? how can I accomplish more fuel delivery? Thanks

The 6030 has the 531 with a P pump.. Just get the pump and lines off the 6030.. Or a custom set..

Is the pump hole in the block for the rotary pump 531 the same size as the pump hole for the P-pumped 531? As for that matter, is the pump hole in the P-pumped 531 the same size as the pump hole in a 4455 (466)?

Reed.. I think your a little out of my league on this one because I don't have one to look at.. but from the parts book... It looks like the mounts are different.. which means the blocks might be different too... Try posting a question on the pulloff.com page... Good Luck.. I would like to know what you find out... I am interested in our project...

Bryan, The mounts are different. The 5020 was a 531(D) engine and a freak all of it own. The 6030 was a 531(A) engine and is different in this area. If one was going to the trouble of swapping engines just as well drop the 619 in as the 531A engine and 619 will require the same alterations to make it fit. I can tell you what they are if you are interested. Been doing any pulling? Have not had the truck or tractors out since Thanksgiving. Would like to go but you know what it like working for JD! See Ya, Dave W.
