WELL?,,,as far as where the wheels are for truck pulling,the truck pullers are trying to get the front wheels out wider so the back wheels don't get into the ruts of the front wheels,as for your tractor,the rig you choose to haul with will determin wheel spacing,,put it this way,if you like the wheels dished out,then get the rig that will work for you,and vice versa.I was at a sale and there I was told that tractors with wheels dished "in" meens that the tractor was set for field work, and that it more than likely came from the southern part of the country,if the wheels were dished "out",then that ment that the owner never did much field work that required "wide" spacing and that the tractor, more than likely, came from the north,this, I found to be true about 50% of the time,,My father told me that when he was working for FARMALL,that inorder to ship as many tractors possible in the rail cars,they would dish the wheels out,inorder to get the tractor as narrow as can be.SO If you are around my father at a sale, and you hear him say,"That tractor is still in the shipping position", you will know what he ment.
