2.25 rod journal. Without measuring, i think it is 8.75. What are you building? Might help in rod selection. Chad

I am building a case 900 and I need a 9.5 in. rod, it can be a little longer or shorter, but not 10 in. which an M rod is. A massey 44 rod is 9.5, but I can't get anyone to tell me what the rod journal is.

How big is the wrist pin on the pistons you will be using? If it is a small pin, like 1 inch or smaller, and the wrist pin on the rod is much larger, you can offset the wrist pin to help set compression height. I was thinking that the Massey 44 was the same journal as an M, but not for sure,, I will look at my books to see for sure. 900 Case huh?? I want one!! LOL our club went to 1957 for the year break, and the case 900 slips right in!! I seen one pull in MO a few years back, I think he has since passed away, but was a strong tractor, very nice looking set up. Chad

I think the massey rod is going to work. Our club put in a 5750 open class this year and I think this tractor is going to be strong it that class. We will be running big cubes, so it should do well. Thanks for your time chad
