I want to pull with my 66 RC next year, but the stock drawbar sticks out almost behind the tires, my Farmall 200 is closer inside. Will the front end be too light, would a home-made drawbar help? What regulations are there for distance from axle?
Also, to weight up, does hanging weights on the pipe(thru the hole in the frame) provide as good of traction as bolting on the wheels?

i pull a 66 in our club, and i do very well with it. you should find out what your club rules are before you do anything.our club pulls stock . my draw bar is 18 from center of axle,20 inches high. i pull in the 3500,4000 lb class. it is hard to explain, but you want to know how i shortened it up ,drop me a line, and i will dig up some pic's and send to you. dave.
