I came across a Ford 5000 diesel and was wondering if anyone has pulled or seen one pull, any good? Seem like a light tractor. Don't know much about them. Thanks, Dave S

I pulled once with one, but know luck. Like every first time hooking to the sled, you got alot to learn about how to set the tractor up. Think I was in the 7500'lb. field class & pulling with 80-90 hp tractors. I really didn't have a chance, but you got to have faith in what you have to work with. I believe that you can pull well in the 6000lb. class againt tractor that are 55-70hp. By pulling well, I mean being competitive. Either 2nd or 3rd gear would be my choice, but only disadvantage that you will have is not having a TA like the IH boys have. Let me know how you do your first time out. Might be able to help out alittle.
