For anybody that is coming to the pulls in Belding this year there are a few things that you need to know. Wheelie bars (tip bars) are MANDATORY. The bars must stick behind the radius of the tires (will be checked with a 2x4), must hit before the drawbar does, must have a minimum of a 4" square pad and most importantly, support the weight of the tractor (will also be checked). This is now required by the City and they were nice enough to pour the cement and let us use it for free. They want this to cover them for liability reasons. The first pull of the year is the 1st Sat. in May. 2nd is Labor day weekend. 3rd is in Sept.

Do you guys you a stone boat or a transfer sled. What are your rules besides wheelie bars, tire size, rpm's, hitch height. Are you guys allowed to use suit case weights?

it is a dead weight pull on a stone boat. Classes are 5000#, 6000#, 7500# with a 31" tire width. Duals are allowed. AG tires only (no industrial tires). Tires must hit on bars only, not on the casing. We also have a 6000# limited tire class. Limits are 18.4x38 non radials. Hitch height is 20" high and minimum of 24" from center of rear axle. Suit case weights allowed. Any other questions email me by clicking on my name.

Going to try jumping classes. If the weather doesn't permit or too many tractors, then the class jumping will be scratched. We are trying to keep the length of the pull to around 3 hours give or take. That is about the optimum time for spectators. It is also a long day for the volunteers to put in at an all day event.

Yes we are going to Shepherd. We hope to take a couple more tractors up there than we had at Belding. Depends on how cooperative weather is to get everthing done. I'm not going to be much of a help for a couple of weeks though. I had surgery today. Hopefully we can generate some sponsorship for some purse money. We are trying to get some for the pullers. But I don't know about you, I do it for the fun anyway.

I try, but the gas alone gets expensive!!. and wen the first place person gets 15$, its kinda too costly for me. If it was more local it would be a different story...what do you pull? we pull a JD A. a puller

yea, I understand, but trying to pay back all of the entry fee to all of the contestants doesn't leave much room for dividing it up. Sheperd and some of the longer established pulls get extra money by passing the hat to the spectators. We didn't really get anyting in the hat pass, so that is why we are trying to get some businesses to sponsor some prize money. Are you going to Sheperd? We are. I ran the Moline.
