Hi Chad, I just got the copper head gasket that I purchased from you installed today. I had previously shaved 100 thousands off my IH 400 head and had a compression of 162-165. After installing the copper head gasket that I got from you, I did a quick job of setting the valves and warmed it up a little bit and did a quick compression check. I got readings of 178-185. It will be interesting to see what changes we will see on the dyno. Thanks for you help!

Dave, Glad to hear it!! That is a good increase of compression. Should be good for 5 more HP, Have seen differnt HP increases in different engines. All because of different piston styles. The highest increase was 12hp, it went from 165 to 190, that was using a .020 gasket, and done the clearance work to the pistons. Who says you can't build power with out boring and stroking!!
