I was wondering if anyone had pulled a Bauer Built sled with their antiques? I was curious how well the sled worked with them if they did and how light of a tractor could pull the sled. Thanks.

I have pulled the "Maverick" sled a couple times. It takes some more front weight than a normal antique sled. At 5500 on an "A" John Deere, it took about 150# more on the front. I don't remember how light of tractors was on that particular track, but if the sled op. picks the pan up except for the very front, I would think that light tractors would be able to pull it just fine. Now in an open class, if you aren't moving along pretty good when the pan push-downs hit, you might get whiplash.

There are sleds I like better, but Maverick seems to do alright for the normal range of antiques. The worse part is it has that sharp edge on the nose of the pan. Makes it hard to get started and pushes a lot of dirt instead of rolling the power under. With a packable track it would be alright.

I'm 99% sure it is. It looks a lot like the Ironman sleds that I know are B.B.
