What is a one of thoes 7inch blocks gunna run me, if I match it with their head... and add that manifold and carb set up thats in the hook (i cant remember the name) also... add in a set of roller rockers.

Can I do this for under 3,000?

I was to get as much hp out of a G with out stroking it.

I really hate to ruin your day or put down JERRY`S stuff but with out stroking you wont make a bunch of power with his head and intake his stuff is huge and it takes at least 800 cubes to start to make those ports work.IM not saying you cant do it but on a dollar per hp scale its a waste unless prepared to go all the way with it just my 2 cents ROD

If your mean the 7.50 inch Jerry's block and cylinder head, the cost is $4,100 for the block including pistons and rings; and $1,550 for the head and manifold. I know that you don't want to stroke the G, but $1,000 would go a long way towards a 9.25 to 9.75 inch crank. Just my two cents worth!

That's kind of what I was thinking, that it would be much cheaper to stroke it than buy those big-dollar parts.

So if I wanna get my G in the 100 to 125 range, what do you think that I would be looking at. And where could I have this done... and is it to late to even think about this so late in the year... Our first pull is in June.

I have a 52 styled G, that has been through the mill. I would like to retire my 38, and run with some SuperMs with Denny kits that are leaking into my "stock antique" class. The G has no cracks in the block... but, cast iron pistons... and it would need a new crank (the crank and bearing have seen better days) I do have a 51 Carb, thats not a problem. Tires, also is not a problem. Give me some suggestions. I wanna invest 5000 or less if possible, am I not being realistic?

For $5000 you could get a 9.25"-9.75" and a Powerblock with a pulling cam, heads and big intake, a be in the neighborhood of 100 HP.

oh ya for 5000 you can build a stompin G just gota use your head not the wallet cam reground roberts 200 roller rocker 350 pistons400 - 450 stroke crank ?? only bore big enough to clean up taking it way out is a waste cause next time or if anything happens its sleve time going from .45 over to .125 over if ALL thing equal maybe a horse differance not worth it~~ getting compresion up and some porting done then look out! get your combo to breath and work right youll still have change left over ROD
