I just bought a 1951 Allis-Chalmers CA, anyone on here try pulling one? What weight class, and what all was needed to make it a decent puller? Thanks!

Great puller because they are long. Best little 3500 lb dead weight puller around.

There's a guy aroung here (more like a teenager) who pulls a WC. I really don't think he has that much work done to it. He pulls in the 3000 and 3500 when they have classes that small. I'll tell you what, people's eyeballs roll out of thier head when this kid walks past farmall H's and JD B's. It seems he has the right tire to weight combo. I know it isn't stroked or anything, but some head and carb work??? Hey, you only go around once..... .Have fun!!!!!

Thanks for the info, I was thinking that they were a good little puller, guess that I will go weigh it one of these days, it has a real nice pair of Firestone Field and Road tires on it, gonna have to figure out how to make a decent hitch on it also. It has the snap coupler type hitch on it, or what ever you call that set up on a CA.

I tried one but it was so light all it did was spin would'nt hardly move the sled, plenty of power just to small of rear tires, mine had 11.2-24. Guess you could use bigger tires if the rules allow it.

What did it weigh? We have some smaller classes here, I was wondering about the 3500# class.
