So I hear that Div. 5 classes are being cancelled. I bet that the local pullers {Div. 5 wanna-be's} can't compete with the outsiders that are taking their money and trophy's. or maybe that the Paulding County pullers spend big bucks on non stroked tractors and think they can whip the world. Put your money on the table and pull the open classes or keep it in the barn. Don't be a cry baby and make whining excuses to not have the classes. I guess you have to be in the {click} to get your way. DB

Safety is the issue, nothing else.We are small clubs, and we can't afford the liability it takes to allow the higher powered tractors to pull. Our tracks don't have any fence protection etc.We aren't trying to shut anyone out. Also the sled we hire, the operator won't hook Div.5 But your higher powered tractors need to go to the pulls that are set up for you.I would think you would want to pull with your own kind for the fun of competiveness.

Ohio G Puller,
Out off all respect we come up for fun competition and just to meet new people. I was at Paulding and Defiance both, very fun pulls, very well run, and the crowds you have are great. I did run in your "Open" class which I guess I belong in and didn't try to sneek into the stock class like some. I admit I am not a fan of the high RPM tractors with cast flywheels. As for the sled operator that you are referencing I know him REALLY well and I hook to his sled MANY times throw out the year. Trust me he has no problem stopping my M. What it appears to me is that if you would only put RPM limits on your "Open Class" like 20% over or a MPH limit like 8mph. Your insurance that you keep bringing up will be more affordable. My question is, Isn't my money as green as the local good old boys or not? Just answer me that if you would. Something else to think about, the sled you use we are using as well at our Bucyrus pulls and I already know he can stop me any second he wants. If you are wondering I have the Black M with the Coors Light side shields.

P.S. hope the home towning boys reconsider cause it was fun to come up and see family from that area as well as pull all in one trip.

hey db. this is why there tractor count keeps dropping everyyear. used to be limited to 2 hooks per day. now the local boys can pull all day long with unlimited hooks to pay for that sled an insurance.we won't be helping to pay for sled this year.we'll take our tractor an all our buddies to bucyrus this year.later

I have pulled at Defiance's AuGlaize Village for probably 5 years. The Paulding County fellows are at those pulls and most of them help. I am not from that area but they are one of the more helpful and freindly groups that I would ever wish to pull with. I missed last falls pull but up untill then they didn't have a Div. 5 class.
I have no idea what they have talked about as far as adding classes, but if they added a Div. 5 pull and changed there mindes I would think they were doing the pull a big favor. They probably would like to not have the discord that seems to come to the Div. 5 pulls which most could see would be comming with these kind of remarks.
