What is the difference between a 8043 head off of an H farmall serial #290599XI and a 8043 head off an H farmall serial #370176XV? Any, concerning compression factors or design?

Both are the same basicly, the higher serial number cyl head you mentioned, may have the copmression chamber like the 300-350 made for firecrater pistons. that is the only difference in the 2 types of 8043 heads. 8043D, and 8043DD are what you may want to find. mill it 100, and gasket match the ports, will make just as much power, as bolting on an LP head, in it's stock form. Got the head off the junk 1951 H and to my suprise...dome pistons underneath!!! The bore of this H is 3 7/16". The pistons are aluminum with 2 raised places to one side of the tops. The pistons say: conformatic , P762A (small)M N (over top each other on the M&N). Three of the rods have the number "43785DD (IH)" on one side and 13cc5(?) 01037 W4-1 on the other side. Bought the head for $250.00 and the pistons for $50.00! WHO MAKES THESE PISTONS? WHERE CAN I GET RINGS FOR THE PISTONS? ANY OTHER SUGESTIONS? Chad, are you getting my emails?
