I am currently working on a 560 and am wondering what kinda power it is going to make. 3 13/16 pistons (same as 301), truck head, cam ground for high torque, and 806 carberator. Just wondering Thank you.

After working on this 263 I have in my 460, I would say that it would be 100hp, the truck head will give you quite a bit of compression, just watch the piston/valve clearence. it will be tight. also, you may need the truck valve train, rocker assembly, the truck head is a straight up and down valve, and the tractor cyl head, the valves are angled, so there is a difference in the ratio of the rockers, just due to the different angle of the valves in the head. Pay attention to the distributor, change the mechanical advance springs, under the points plate, to help with timing advance speed. it will not affect the amount of timing, just how fast it will react. My 263 in my 460, after I did all the home work, is 80HP at 540. nothing done internally, all carb, ignition, valve adjustment, and fuel. Just one sweet running engine. Good luck, and have fun! Chad

Did you bore the motor out, or was it an oversize kit? Wondering if you could cause mine is in need of an overhaul. Thanks!!

Just pulled the sleeves bored the block to match the pistons and honed, she was ready to go. You can order the 806 kit for any piston company you just don't get any sleeves just run on the block. Ryan J.
